Stirling/Brown is a professional design

firm offering services in architecture, historic

renovation/restoration, interior design, and space

planning for residential, institutional, commercial,

and hospitality clients. David W. Stirling, AIA,

co-founder, has over 40 years of professional

experience covering a broad range of building

types. He was Project Architect for the 2002/2003

PBS broadcast of the This Old House program

featuring the renovation of a 1922 Winchester

colonial revival home. He was the architect for a

2002 Boston area home renovation and addition

project featured on the program Before and

After (Episode BAA-608) broadcast on HGTV.

Mr. Stirling was a speaker at the Restoration

Renovation Exhibit & Conference in Boston, April

2004, delivering a seminar on Historic Home

Styles – Renovations and New. He has been a

guest critic at RISD, Harvard Graduate School of

Design, and the BAC. He is a former Chair of the

Winchester Design Review Committee, Director of

the Winchester Historical Society and Chair of its

Building Committee, and former Member of the

Board of Directors for the Chamber of Commerce.

His professional affiliations include the AIA,

BSA, National Trust for Historic Preservation, Irish

Georgian Society, Historic New England, Victorian

Society in America, The Vernacular Architecture

Forum, and NESEA.

tour of the function hall facility and

members' lounge.

For decades the newly refurbished

function hall at the Sons of Italy has

hosted meetings, fundraisers, job and

clothing fairs, dances, parties for birthdays,

christenings, graduations, bat/bar mitvahs,

confirmations, weddings, collations, and

sports award dinners.

The Sons of Italy prides itself on a well-

appointed, clean, and organized function

facility. We are the only local function

hall that accommodates 225 people with

handicapped access, a large parking area,

public ATM, and kitchen facilities. Our bar

service offers a large array of liquor, beer,

wine, and soda. Audiovisual equipment is

available as well as our newest addition,

a wall mounted 65" flat screen to display

your photos and videos.

We will take you on a tour, assist in floor

plans, suggest caterers, linen services and

djs, and offer you early access to set up. We

make your event a celebration.
